lol i killed umbra at lvl 1 all you have to do is get on the broken pillar and plug away with ranged

Aaaaarrrggghhh!!!!!

My Oblivion crashed last night and wouldn´t restart, had to re-install the game. Saved my saves before I removed the game and re-installed it, and the just added my saves again. Did that work?? NOOO!!! My saves was somehow damaged when the game crashed. Thats two weeks of intense gaming down the drain...

Well well, I´ll just have to do it all over again... Good thing that I love the game

*note to self* Make backup on my saves

my game crashes sometimes but nothing like that has ever happened to me

alot of times wen exiting out though i get that error report message...good thing im alrdy done playing

You really dont need that good of a video card guys, Im running oblivion with a Radeon 9600 (which is okay but it aint great). All you need to do is turn the texture to medium, set the grass low, and your seeing distance to about 3/4 of the max range and it runs fine.

I have the same as Doc does and it runs fine with some of the stuff off. I do get the error report sometimes when I exit the game but like capblue said I am already done. As long as I can run it with distance view on I am happy.

Oblivion is just very very poorly optimised. I downloaded a new .ini file, edited it slightly to suit my tastes...it now runs perfectly smooth on a radeon 9800 pro / amd3200xp with high textures, lots of bloom and max view distance...

Ha, I killed her at lvl 12, and I did it like a man. I fought her hand to hand, and used alot of weakness to shock, and shocking grasp(I think thats what its called). I almost died, but right at the end, I finished her, and now I have a full set of ebony sitting on my mantle in my house in Skingrad. Yeah, I'm light armor, but its was too cool to throw away. And there is also the matter of Umbra(the sword) hitting for 24 damage, pretty nice, if I do say so myself.

I wanted to see Oblivion in all its "glory", so I sprang for the GeForce 6800GS, which does a nice job for the price. My 9600Pro was three years old, so it looks like my grandson won't have to suffer with my old Radeon 7000 any longer.

I remember for Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) the PC version had a construction set, which wasn't exactly user friendly but possible, you can add on to the world of Morrowind and add your own cities or landscapes, islands, w/e. Even remake Tyria if you wanted to, but that would take a long ass time, and single player might be boring...
